NoBD for me today.

Anyone know if Southern Star has a tasting room?

Gotta run up to Conroe tomorrow and was thinking about swinging by. Not really a big fan of anything they put out but wouldn't mind crossing a visit off the list if the have a tasting room.

They do but I believe it is only open on Saturdays. If you are in that area, you might want to check out Lone Pint in Magnolia....they are putting out some fantastic beers.

Yeh, through the internet searches it looks like it was only on Saturday but I wast sure if that was just their event day or if that was the only day.

I live about 30 minutes from both LP and SS. I just happen to be heading north tomorrow so I was gonna hit up SS if they were open. I've been wanting to go to LP but I never make it. There is a little beer place about half way between my house and the brewery that has a lot of their stuff on tap and I always pull in at instead of going to the brewery. I'll make it there one day soon.

I'm sorry. I'd have to drink a few beers before going there too.

I hear you. Making the trek to Gus's Fried Chicken, Flying Saucer and Vergo's Rendezvous tonight.

The Hop, Drop and Roll is pretty malty. Reminded me of Hi-Res..

Daily Parish Beer Update:
quote:

Ghost in the Machine update 2/17: The beer is tasting phenomenal and is ready for packaging tomorrow. We will probably have it on draft in our taproom tomorrow evening. We will confirm tomorrow afternoon. The aroma is amazing and the highlight of the beer. 8.5% ABV and way past hoppy...yet smooth and light bodied. Grapefruit bitterness that lingers pleasantly in the finish.

It is still probably too hoppy for you. Cheers!

Had it on Friday. Straight from the fermenter so no carbonation and it hadn't been filtered. But sweet baby Jesus it was good.

Nice! My office is closed today, but I brought some stuff home to work on. Presently contemplating FBD.

What's the ghost in the machine availability going to look like? Are they making Dr H/farmhouse amounts, or smaller grand reserve amounts? Just wondering if it's going to be crazy trying to grab a couple of bottles
