Mississippi recently outlawed all forms of farming of deer in an effort to prevent the spread of some to the diseases that have wiped out the colorado populations...

apparently, they are making an example out of these folks...

I read that the other day. Glad they were caught. There are rules in place against that for a reason. All we need is for some rich a-hole to bring CWD to the gulf coast

I bet they will not get into any trouble over this. Maybe a fine , that's it. Nothing that family can't handle

really screwed up the hunting out west...I am not sure why it isn't already a problem in the south, but I am glad it is not here...

I don't feel they need jail time. Just a hit to the pocket book enough to make them regret not following the rules

agree completely...why should we spend money to keep non-violent offenders in prison...

actually, the idea that this is a felony seems a bit much to me...I mean, does this crime really warrant taking away the possibility of this guy ever holding a meaningful job again...can never vote or own a firearm again...

I think a big, hefty assed monetary penalty would be the best thing...

I think a felony is good. Not for what will happen now but as a deterrent. In reality, consequences and repurcusions is what deters people from breaking the law.

Big business man with millions can say he'll risk the 250k dollar fine if that's all it is.
