Fish it alot but not usually this time of year. I'm heading out tomorrow need to check on the camp and run the boat. If it warms up I'm gonna try and hit flats in sister lake, if still cold going to deep bayous and fishing slow

I fished it a lot last year, mainly rig fishing but trying to learn the area as much as possible this year. Goin out with one of the guides this year to soak up alil info that might help. Hes been on the specks so far this year... Cant wait

Best way to learn any area. I've been with one of the regulars alot down there. They will help you out in learning the area! Talk to them about doing a ride along where they jsut come fish in your boat they make cash and dont have wear and tear on their rig and you get a cheaper price and routes on your GPS.

For reds this time of year I usually just look for decent colored water in the duck ponds. Or find a "funnel" where a bay/pond is emptying into a bayou or cut and fish on the bottom. They are usually stacked up so if you find one there are probably more around. Definitely a tough time of year though
