Let's say the "LSU 2015" plan works and our AD can stop donating 7 million a year to our grossly underfunded academic department. We are officially STACKED.

Let's go out and offer 3.5 to Jamie Dixon.

Anyone who has seen my basketball posts know I have been pro Johnny Jones through and through, but frick back to back road losses to UGA and A&M is astounding. We should be at worst on the bubble right now, but we are now out of the tourney sweepstakes.

Should i wait and see who Jones brings in with Ben Simmons before writing him off, or is it too late?

If you're calling for a new coach right now you're being irrational.

Jamie Dixon.

This pipedream is worse than Saban's coming back when Les leaves.

He needs to hire an assistant that can coach.

I agree. He deserves a warm seat, however, if this season keeps going in the direction it looks to be going in.

Probably also true. I've been drinking and watched the Syracuse game and got a tad too excited BUT, I think we can offer a shitload of money to someone after the LSU system breaks away from the state

He's in his second year and is pulling in great recruiting classes.

He's not that great of an in-game coach, but he'll get results in the long run. LSU hired a guy who would bring LSU basketball back. Most of the players on this team aren't even his recruits.

Once again, it's his second year.

No he doesn't. It's fricking year 2.

Remember when we thought this when Trent was fired then we ended up with Jones vs. Tubby. At least we got that one right.

Yeah, i somewhat agree. We really lack a true scorer. I'd like to see Quarterman at the point and Hickey at the 2. If Stringer is hot, bring him in and leave him in.

My excitement will come back if he can convince Mickey and martin to come back with hornsby and Gray playing next season. I think Jones has already fooled O'bryant once too many

My original question was "should I or should I not write him off". I am huge positiger. I think Alleva is a good AD and at the time I thought Jones was a great hire. I think it's only fair we assess the situation. Such a weird deal that we seemed better coached with a tuba player at center and a 6'6' sf at the four.

Your expectations were just lower.

This, in reality we may end up with an almost identical record to last year

Expectations were too high. I bought into it too, but don't think Jones will be the guy to get LSU over the hump.

Qman is a turnover machine and an abysmal scorer at this point. he doesnt provide much to THIS team. hopefully, he develops offensively during the offseason

One things for sure, as quickly as jones proved he can recruit he has just as quickly proven that he can't coach. Sad but true. In basketball it doesn't take years to turn things around. You either have it or you don't.

It doesn't. But he's had one real recruiting class. A few more top ten classes and it'll be a 180-degree turn from what we see now.

Let's hold our horses about finding a new head coach, I'd rather JJ find assistant coaches that are good with the X's and O's so we can keep JJ's recruiting skills and not suffer in the games.

frick you. it's not the academic department, it's called a university.

sometimes i wish LSU would abolish the athletic department. some dumbasses don't realize that the university is there to educate not entertain.

What are y'all talking about expectations are too high? I never thought this team was a legit big dance team. I did think they were a bubble team and NIT lock. They still have some work to do to make the NIT, but I can see them still getting there.

Also known as THE SCHOOL.

You know, the only reason a basketball team, football team, etc. exists?
