I have Cox internet but not television, I have directv for TV

Does my cox internet account allow me to use ESPN3?

And is ESPN3 and watchESPN different entities with regard to what providers allow you to access?

Thanks

Nope. I only have cox internet and it won't allow me to have access. You have to have both cable and internet to access it (my parents have cox cable but not internet, and they cant sign up as well)

are you sure that this applies to watchESPN AND ESPN3

it seems from reading that they are separate, and that I may be able to access espn3 programming, but not watchESPN programming

You have access to anything that's listed under "watchESPN"

You can't see the ESPN3 content.

I think you have it backwards, but yeah

I'm able to watch replays on espn3 but there are currently no live games to try it on

I'll also add that that I'm on my mobile network and not my home wifi

There are a few live games you can watch on espn3, it used to have a lot more until watchespn rolled around
And for it you only need an eligible Internet provider.

For watchespn you need an eligible cable provider.
Direct TV is not on that list?

WatchESPN requires an approved tv provider. Internet only providers does not qualify. Providers

ESPN3 is now under the WatchESPN plan, but there are a limited number of espn3 live games that don't require a provider. The LSU game tonight is one of them.
