Gravity: pay to see it in IMAX or watch for free at home?

So the site I use to watch newly released films just put Gravity up. I was planning on going tomorrow to see it in IMAX as it'll be the last time I can see it in the format (Robocop opens Wednesday on IMAX screens).
Should I shell out $10 to see it tomorrow or watch for free on my tv?

Watched it at home but would have to say IMAX. Amazing

Imax. This movie more than most others is about the theatrical experience. Just watching it at home would be pretty meh.

Unless you have an IMAX screen at your home.

Without question IMAX. See it before its too late. It's the most incredible experience you will ever have in a theater. Being surrounded by objects in your living room would strongly take away from the experience.

IMAX that bitch! Sure the plot was meh... but that film was MADE for 3D!

Pretty unanimous. Guess I'll be seeing it tomorrow morning. Probably will be the only one in the theater

I watched it at home but I'd pay to see it IMAX second time around so I'd say IMAX for sure. I just saw it the other day and I friggin loved it.

Not sure what IMAX you go to, but none of the 3 I've been to have been less than $15-20 and they don't offer matinees.

I had no idea it was re-released, thinking I has missed it.
Now I've missed it again.

I'll echo the IMAX comments.
OP, how did you like it in IMAX? It's definitely a very cool movie theater experience.

I just watched it at home with a Panny 65VT60 and a near reference capable audio system, but I'd still say check it in IMAX.

That makes me want to just sit closer to the tv to make it look bigger

Since the plot isn't exactly stellar, the only reason to see it is for the 3-D so I would suggest Imax 3-D.
Having said that, the 3-D was decent enough on the "Net" copy.

If you insist on watching the movie at all, watch it on IMAX. If not, you're just wasting 90 minutes of your time.
