I moved to Atlanta right before Dre's Sophmore yr.. and since then Me, My Son, and my bestfriend have went to every away Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee games, and we've took beating after beating...SOON as I walked in the stadium Shavon let a pass to wing go thru his hands out of bounds.... and well u know the rest... Sorry Rant its my fault. I attend road games we lose.

In fairness, LSU is a football school and the fans have that attitude because the football team is a giant. This team looks like it has trouble on the road to me, usually meaning the team is playing off of emotions a little to much (at least on the road).

The casual fan is only going to come out to the game if the team is winning. That's just the way it is and it's not isolated to LSU basketball. It's the same for all schools in every sport. Back in the early 90's it was easy to get into Tiger Stadium. Now... everybody is a life-long diehard football fan.

I'm probably like you and have watched a lot of generally avg basketball over the last almost 20 years (some great years mixed in with some awful years), so there's no reason for me not to show up now. As long as they're playing games in the PMAC and I'm physcially able to, I'll keep showing up

Well in the early 90's it was pretty easy to find a free ticket to an LSU football game, while the PMAC was still a pretty tough place to get into. LSU fans are no different than any other fans. They'll show up when the team is winning big, but if they're not, they'll find better things to do.

the problem is every time LSU basketball builds up a bandwagon we manage to shite and fall back into it.
I hope the pmac is mostly full vs auburn but i have my doubts. The sec also hurts the watchability of a game when you have more fouls than minutes. The casual fan doesn't want to watch a free throw contest.
IF the refs get out of the way and let this team actually play it would draw huge crowds because when in rhythm it is a very exciting team.

Its comes with the territory, these players are public domain they get whateva their fans want to give them. Im fine with that reality. The lsu fan is a tough and passionate group. its not what you've done for me lately its what you're doing for me Now. Lol forget what you've done or what you could do in the future, look at how the football team and Les get bash and they are in the hunt for a national Championship yearly... they lose a game they suck for life, fire Les lol

Les brings on the hate with his character. The same reason people love him when we are winning and embarrassing people is the same reason people go ape shite over losses. He is goofy, the goofy shite is funny when it is beating people but when you have a retard slip up like he did at ole miss and you can't explain your way out of it it causes people to flip their shite.

The basketball problem is a problem of recent history and just a bad overall product by the ncaa/sec with the refs. Our recent history of not being very good makes people gun shy about going unless they are a true basketball fan. People also want to be entertained and have fun, well watching teams shoot free throws every possession isn't fun. This team is very capable of being a fun team to watch, we all saw that vs uk and arky. The up and down way the refs call games in the sec/ncaa hurts the casual fan from getting involved as much especially when that team hasn't won a lot. I hope people give this team more chances after seeing what they can do.

I've been an LSU fan since I stepped foot on Campus nearly 20 years ago, and this is as dead on an assessment as I have ever heard about the fan base. lol

I've been an LSU fan since I popped out of the womb 25 years ago and I agree as well. Leave it to an outsider to see the forest for the trees.

At least the basketball team gets some love when they win games. LSU could skull drag Bama by 40 points in the National Championship game and I know we would still have a lot of people that want to get rid of Les. lol

fwiw it is easier for an outsider to see things. Also the what have you done for me now mentality isn't special to LSU. all you have to do is go look at the secrant. If Bama wins they are the greatest ever, if they lose they meltdown and they take it a step further. they win IRL they teabag, the gumps lose and they kill each other, kill trees and go wwe on the opposing fans.
