Why would a coach question Garrett's integrity for picking his hometown school early and focusing on academics? That's crazy.

Bc that coach probably is the one lacking the integrity.
If I had to guess its a short coach who runs a dictatorship and wears crimson red and rides around on elephants. If you don't do as he says then you lack integrity, discipline, honor, loyalty, respect and dignity.

This article is fantastic. If we could get 20 kids with close to this type of character and ability year-in and year-out we'd be the best program in college football.
I have great admiration for any 18 kid who can see through the short term adulation of the recruiting process, make a firm adult decision and stick with it. That's the type of kid who will work his arse off to maximize his talent.
The part about parlaying your success at LSU into lifelong connection in Louisiana should be put on a recruiting flier and sent every in state prospect until the end of college football.
