Just accepted a position in Meridian, Ms. Pretty much have to accept the position for career purposes.

If anyone knows of any quality parts of town, and parts of town that I should avoid, I would greatly appreciate you expressing them in this thread.

Just looking for a one bedroom, one bath (maybe also a half bath).

Mainly, I just want to make sure I pick out a safe part of town as I know nothing about the city.

You might want to live outside of the city.

One of the best parts of Meridian is Union Station. From there you can easily catch a train to just about anywhere other than Meridian.

Call willow ridge. Talk to Mary. Good part of town. One minute from mall, walmarts, all the good restaurants

Good thing about Meredian, there is a casino, world class golf course, bass fishing and deer hunting all within a 30-55 min drive.

When I worked in the corp world I was sentenced to serve 2 years in Meridian, MS. I lived at Willow Ridge Apts for a year. Decent apartments good location. I forget the the name of the apts I lived in the 1st year it was a dump on N. Hills St.

There's a nice fishing lake north of meridian..not sure if its a state park or whatnot but it's beautiful. Otherwise Meridian is more or less a dump in tornado alley like all the other central MS/Bama towns
