RHCP at the halftime show was an Air Guitar display, While Mars was live

I remember during the in game thread people were saying Mars was probably lip syncing. And Beyonce and others raised hell for it, but while Keidas was miked up and obviously live.
The guitar and bass were unplugged.

I know Who cares? By why is it a HUGE deal if a singer lipsyncs, but when a band plays air guitar it isn't even noticed?

Scruffy realized it when the guitarist was flailing around, yet he still played an awesome solo.

My FB feed was "we need more RHCP" and I do prefer them to Bruno. But I saw that article and knew that if the singing was lipsynced it would be an issue.

Not nearly as bad as the Thanksgiving and Christmas parade performances. Those are terrible.
BTW, I've played air guitar live before. Of course, I was plugged in so it looked legit. It was the most awkward thing ever.

It sounds like they embellished everything on purpose and weren't even trying to pretend to play. Pretty funny.

Not a huge Bruno fan, but he performed his balls off, down to his James Brown footwork. Not really concerned about the faux playing, but lip syncing just sucks.
