Just tweeted this

@JacobHester22:

Everybody will want to get nothing but 5 star kids tomorrow. Remember the 2 & 3 Star kids will fight to prove you wrong. Trust me, I was a 2 star.

He's got a good point though. Recruiting services project guys based on how they will translate to the NFL. There is no way of knowing how a kid will grow or develop. Plus you have to get exposure, too many times we hear about kids who got in late or whatever is the reason they are 3*.

You have to look at his video tape and see how he projects in your teams scheme. Russell Sheppard might have been a beast at Oregon but he didn't fit the way we run offense.

Seattle Seahawks had a very similar story.

Funny what happens to talented people when they are told they cant or they aren't.

So why don't teams full of 2 and 3* win nc's? Some prove everyone wrong but not the majority.

He had offers from LSU, Texas, and Miami. Recruiting services overlooked him but coaches didn't.

Great, Hester himself, instead of random posters, is reminding us that he was a 2/3 star.

I don't think the message is to only recruit 2 & 3 stars. Be happy when we get 5 stars but don't get upset with the occasional 2 stars. Trust the coaches.
