I don't think I would define Perrilloux as someone who fizzled. He f'ed up and was kicked off the team but he was excellent when he played for us (SEC Championship MVP).

I think someone that fizzled would be someone that came in, never lived up to the hype and never made it to the next level.

Yeah, Bryce Brown really fizzled. Right into the NFL

Mustain was an idiot for transferring to USC.

This - list is stupid. I could've made a better list with doing little-to-no research.

The title of that article is "Five-star football recruits who were never stars in college".

That applies to everyone on that list. What Brown is doing in the NFL now doesn't change the fact that he was never a star in college

This list is dumb. Most of these guys didn't "fizzle", they had off the field issues and/or injuries.

6/10 of these guys either got hurt or had off the field issues.

And Rhett Bomar threw for over 2000yds 3 times in college and threw for over 3000 his senior year. Just because he transferred doesn't mean he "fizzled"

I'm glad Ryan Perriloux didn't get to play much at LSU...

LSU would've been scary.

So he includes Perrilloux, who at least helped LSU win their second Natty, but doesn't put once-thought package deal cohort Fred Rouse in there instead, who did a whole lot less? No mention of Willie Williams?

That's two names that quickly come to my head compared to others on that list

Awful list imo. RP11 helped LSU win an SEC title.

Bryce Brown at least made it into the league and is now an RB2 in philly.

Part of me wants to cut G.Gilbert some slack after he was rushed into the BCSNG as a FR. The dude damn near came back on UA.

Eh, he's still undeniably a busy. Especially when you consider all the great Texas HS QBs and he holds records over all of them
