U2's new single, Invisible, is pretty great

I'm a huge U2 fan and have loved all their albums.
I downloaded their song Invisible in support of Red and it really lived up to my expectations of the band. They have a new album coming out in 2014, and if that song is any indicator, we could be looking at another All That You Can't Leave Behind, where the band shoots to the top again after being quiet for a few years.
Anyway, for fans of the band or those looking to help a charity, I recommend downloading the song.

my condolences on your losing your will to rock.

U2, Bono in particular, really just needs to throw in the towel

They don't have to shoot to the top again. Worldwide, they've been there all along and will stay there.

Sorry, but I don't find your review all that objective.

I like some of their songs here and there, but I remember being pissed years ago when Coldplay released X&Y because they were trying to turn into youtube.
I'm over it, and I hate them both.

I don't love every U2 song on every CD. Now as a collection I like more songs than I do not, so I can listen to all the albums. There are songs I routinely skip.
But this new song sounds great and has me excited for the band's new CD

Agreed, but when they released "all that you can't leave behind" it introduced a new generation to the band and was a great follow-up to the commercial flop that was "Pop"

Pop wasn't that bad of an album in my opinion. In fact, it's pretty damn good.
Tracks such as Do You Feel Loved, Discotheque, Last Night on Earth, Mofo, Please, Gone are all pretty good. Give it another listening to.

Yeah . . . if only they had contributed as much to music as the noodlings of Trey Anstasio, Phish and their wannabe followers who don't know the difference between 4/4 and 7/4 or a minor vs. major chord.

One of my favorite U2 songs. The intro of the song always makes me feel like I am in Europe.

Invisible is a great song and if Muse had released the exact same tune 4 years ago (and I intentionally specify "4 years ago" because now that they play arenas I guaran-damn-tee that you have turned on them) you'd be all about it you hipster wannabe.
I swear you're Davis from "treme" - annoying twats both

Pop is fantastic - only Achtung Baby is better. Hate the more recent VH1 stuff they've gone to but there's always hoping Danger Mouse has steered them back to greatness.
