No shoulders (snakes) out today

Killed 2 of these bastards today while taking my BMC pup out. They were away from water, I guess the warm day brought them out. It's a wonder my dog didn't get bit by them but I saw them before he got close. I don't think I have ever killed a snake in Feb.
