Lady called me from the doctors office about a $30 bill

ER Doc on call for OLOL last year.Saw the woman all of 10 minutes,she called up a scan then released me.
Gave her a check for $175 before I left. Just checked my EOB and my insurance gave her another $525.
Her billing dept. want's their thirty bucks.

my son's hospital bill during the last month of his life... living on ecmo ... $ 2.9 mil

To be fair, the billing dept is just enforcing her policy.
My office refunds anything over $25, and bills for anything over $25. We have to put that cutoff line somewhere. Any balance below $25 is written off yearly.

I don't understand the beef here. The amount isn't important. You owe it to them, pay up. That shite adds up when you consider the entire patient population. Medicine is a business.
