all over his house.Pier home. This is actually his mothers house and he's been working 12's and couldn't get there till yesterday evening.Looked like 3 waterfalls under the home. He went to get some cpvc from Home Depot and as he'd fix one section and turn the water on another 2-3 would pop up.
Felt so bad for ole boy.

what makes you think I didn't? He went to Home Depot to get some 3/4" pipe but after he fixed that saw a few 1/2" sections busted. Home Depot had closed by the time he realized it.

Been there and done that way to many times for my Mom. Being the only child that lived close, it was a PITA. Now that momma had passed, I would be more then happy to be under her house to fix those pipes.

been cutting my water off at night (at the main) - keeping water in containers in house - just when hard freeze warnings are issued

Our damn Washing machine discharge pipe froze yesterday. Guess the trap area froze. Wife called me yesterday hysterical that water was coming from underneath the washing machine. I just knew i was going to have to buy another damn washer till I got home and felt water all over the back of the washing machine.

if he was completely changing everything but PEX won't butt up to CPVC at all.

Used to keep a shite load of PVC fitting and pipes to fix my mom's. In fact, I still have a shite load of them.

you wouldn't think about water being in the discharge tube but there's a trap in there that prevents sewer gas from entering the washer.
