Why is the Human Torch black?
Why is The Thing a fatty?

This movie is going to suck

Do you want to build a rockman? Hearing that Josh Gad is Fox’s number one choice for the role of Ben Grimm (aka the ever-lovin’, blue-eyed Thing) in the impending Josh Trank reboot of Fantastic Four is one of those “I never thought of that” bits of casting rumor that just feels right. There’s an innate sweetness to Gad that would shine through Grimm’s orange, rocky exterior in a drastically different way than forcing a bruiser to act sweet. Once you hear it, it’s easy to imagine him in the running as the studio's top choice.

There’s still not a single official announcement regarding cast, including this one, but the word on Gad comes from within casting circles close to the film. Previous rumors have included Miles Teller as Reed Richards and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, and neither have been decisively debunked nor announced. Gad certainly fits in with the age of the other actors in the mix, his star is on the rise, and there’s also a chance it could be mostly vocal performance if the Thing is entirely CG. Gad’s certainly proven his mettle there, helping Frozen, whose marketing relied heavily on Gad’s snowman Olaf, gross $800 million worldwide.

How are we supposed to believe a guy with Down's is a world renowned scientist/astronaut?

They need to cast an older salt and pepper type of guy for the role.

As for the thing, the role is a big bulky guy of pure muscle, not the fat blob of shite you see in the OP.

Is miles teller related to someone?

Trying to figure out why hes in everything now. He has exactly zero range as an actor and is an ugly dude :nohomo:

I have only seen Miles Teller in The Spectacular Now and The Rabbit Hole. I thought he was very good in both.

Jesus...I was hoping this would be BETTER than the last two.

As for The Thing, while I'm sure it's going to be CGI like Hulk (instead of a guy in a foam suit like the last two) you still need to cast Ben Grimm first...and that dude is no where near Ben Grimm.

But then, maybe if this is a full on shitfest they'll sell it back to Marvel/Disney and they can begin bringing the entire universe together.

Michael B Jordan is actually a talented actor. I wouldn't be complaining about him.

Looks like they're just churning some shite out so they don't lose the rights, damn shame.

A black Nick Fury didn't bother me. A black Heimdal was just plain stupid (a black norseman/god?)
A black Torch and I'm out, and so is my $$$$.
Not a racist...a traditionalist when it comes to Marvel.
