recommitted back to Vanderbilt yesterday this probably means Derrick Kelly is LSU bound!! I don't understand why we not taking both OTs. Granier has great size and comes from a big South LA HS plus he has offers from Bama, FSU, Vandy, Kentucky, Arizona and MS St. I think we are making a mistake by passing on this kid, he has great potential.

He's not as athletic as Kelly - 4 star basketball power forward
Plus we had another monstrous local ot just leave the program - Edinburg
Best of luck to baily and a Vanderbilt education can set him up for the rest of his life
His bama offer was never commitable, am I right or wrong ?

Why would this kid recommit to Vandy if he has commitable offers from Bama and FSU? Something is amiss here?

I disagree. I think he will do really well at Vandy and its a much better opportunity for him all around.

Kelly, Valentine, Young are the guys on the board who are biggest needs, imo.
Dupre very much up in that discussion, too, just real needs on the line and at LB.

Because the kid didn't have offers from FSU or Bama. . Simple as that. He also didn't have a committable offer from MSU either. Dont know why the OP posted about all these offers that the kid doesn't have.

Couldn't disagree more. Kid just is not very athletic and would just end up leaving or not playing. Glad he Vandy stood by him. Kudos Vandy
