Well let's see how this gets played by the press.
Congressional Republicans are taking President Obama to court over his use of executive power to sidestep Congress.
Republicans have launched a salvo of legal actions to challenge the president on issues ranging from the implementation of the Affordable Care Act to the National Security Agency’s (NSA) surveillance programs.

.....appropriate ending for an abortion of a Presidency....staying tied up in court for the remainder of his term.

...it seems the only recourse that America has....otherwise, by the time this clown is through....America will be no more.

Obviously Obama styles himself an enlightened despot that, in reality, is not so enlightened. But why has the Congress waited until now when the power of the Executive has been unconstitutionally expanded since the despot, Wilson?

Hallelujah! About time.
Thank God the Tea Party arrived to crack the whip...or they'd still be bending over.

It's worse. It's because this despot doesn't have an. "R" behind his name.

Yes. Politicians are much, much worse than racists. I'm being serious.

Why doesn't the GOP grow a set and block everything while impeaching the President for every unconstitutional act he commits? It's just not that difficult.

Obama is going to push the limits until we have a full blown Constitutional crises. The only question is how far he manages to get before he arrives at the bridge too far.

Those designated to check Obama will not do it. So, Obama will go as far as he and his gay hag (Valerie Jarrett) want to go.

Reminds me of a great quote by Thomas Paine:
quote:
He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Now we're talking. Will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere. Also a pretty dangerous play, considering Obama could actually win this suit and then use the ruling to expand his unilateral actions. Repealing the 22nd amendment by executive order could be a possibility..

The 47% can IGNORE the Constitution if they want to, RR. If they don't believe in those Principles...it's just words on paper. They don't. They believe in Government-mandated *equality*.
Can't stop Socialism. It is only stopped by it's own 'success'.

quote:Sure the House can just draft a 2,000 page document, and the Speaker of the House can tell the Members they have to pass it to see what's in it. Then the Senate will vote to not convict on party lines, and the Republicans will have spent political capital on a gesture that may not resonate very well with voters. Meanwhile Obama will conclude he is immune from being held accountable for his actions, and he will continue to crap all over the Constitution.

If this has to go through the appeals court, it's already too late. Reid fixed that with the nuclear option.
