Long before the cliche restaurant chains, there was Ruth's . I ate there my first night as a recruit and as a host.

The Ruth's in BR in my heart is always the best.

It used to be HQ'd in NOLA, but they moved that OOS a while back.

Yeah it's a chain and HQ'ed in Dallas I believe. My neighbor is the manager of the one here in Houston.

ETA: it's a chain but still damn good.

Used to be a tiny restaurant on Broad Street in New Orleans. Later moved to the corner of Broad and Orleans. It was the political restaurant in the state of louisiana.

It branched out from there. After Katrina, they moved the headquarters to Dallas which didn't sit well with local New Orleanians.
