+1'd. NWA was a game-changer for rap when they hit big in the late 80's/early 90's.

I'll watch, but I'm worried if they are "on board". A good biopic of NWA will not be all that complimentary of the group as people. Awesome rappers, though. It's a shame they all hated each other within a few years.

I'm more worried about them thinking the audience for this is mostly black and going the Tyler Perry route. There were plenty of white people that had both NWA and Guns N Roses CDs growing up.

I would hope so

This is the real NWA, who do you think the NWA is?

The one that's been around a lot longer.

Exactly.

I doubt it will be even close to accurate if the actual members are heavily involved.

You think they will touch on Dre's days in the World Class Wreckin Cru when he was wearing makeup? Or that Cube was a college student studying architectural drafting and not gang bangin? Or that Eazy likely got AIDS from homosexual sex?

Not to mention the allegations from Easy that Dre himself was gay

Well, I mean, there's no proof, and Eazy and his estate denied it, but the rumors have flowed for years.

There's a LA Riots documentary that touches on NWA. Very interesting.

Cool. I just figured lots of unprotected hetero-sex led to his AIDS.

Am I the only one that thinks the Dre/Easy rap battles were all for publicity? I know it made for some good albums.
