Dead buck found on our lease

This grunt was found by the landowners daughter's dog while out for a post season walk.
Three main beams, 13 scorable points, probably 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 yr old buck. Nobody on our land has seen, shot at or has game cam pics of this deer.
Found within 150 - 200 yes of the adjacent lease. Pretty sure one of them fellas is feeling pretty sick for the past three weeks or so.
Just goes to show that those old "ghost bucks" that you think are probably on your hunting land are real indeed.
And shitty thing is I have never even seen a non- typical on this land in 15 yrs of hunting it.

That's terrible. I saw a huge buck on the side of I-55 that someone smashed, and someone else came and cut the head and neck off, presumably to pass off as their own kill

You should reach out to the adjacent lease holder and tell them it was found. The person that shot it will be grateful and it would go a long way with relations with them.

3 yrs ago we asked them for permission (a requirement in Ga) to go after a 10 pt Pope n Young class buck I had arrowed and had tracked to to the property line to a clearcut on their property. They said no way. I was positive the buck was no more than 50-100 yes into the thickest nastiest briar clear cut you can imagine but three requests all went declined. Bunch of rich-boy ,bait pile using (back when it was illegal) jack wads from Fla.
Yes sir....Karma is a bitch....

That sucks, If I can get the pic from my dad I'll post it. He and a ranch hand found a 17 pt dead at our Lease in Tensas in 2011. Tall compact rack just like your pic.

I would make sure you let them know you found it and ask if any of them shot it. If they are the jerks they sound like just let them know you have it and they will never get it back.
If they didn't shoot it, maybe the good faith will go over well. Fun either way.

Yep, I would have went over there hell or high water. Probably wouldn't have asked for permission to be honest.
