Well, a Kansas man who found himself in this very situation Friday morning was having none of it. His first reaction when he realized his house was on fire was, like most sensible people, to scarper out of his property pronto. But having made it to safety, the horrible truth dawned on him – his Xbox was still inside.

If your house was on fire, and you could save one thing, what would be?
Apparently his was his xbox.

Assuming your kids/wife/animals can get out.
This is a material question.

Well can I save my guns as one unit or do I have to pick one. I would think I could grab more than one gun faster than it takes to disconnect an XBox. Unless the you can just say "XBox, disconnect yourself" or something.

You can take what you can carry. One trip. No running back in to save more stuff.

Oh shite, I left the controller inside.

Dumb comment. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have at least one thing that can't be replaced.

One trip? Nah... I'd be like Joaquin Phoenix going in and out saving it all. Better question is what item would the fire take?

In this situation one console rises to the top...

All of the Call of Dutys and Maddens.

maybe that xbox was apart of a bigger memory? like the last few minutes him and his diabetes riddled father spent together before he passed? ...
that's all i've got and i will leave this thread in shame for it.

I kind of thought that part was obvious. Guess it wasn't
I'd probably make sure to get out with my laptop and external hard drive that contains the majority of the pics from my wedding and daughter's first 2 years.
Of course I have those pics saved in like 3 other places as well so....not as critical now that I think about it.
Probably still go with the laptop tho. Can't think of anything else I'd really need or want. I could do more with the laptop than anything else I'd be able to get

I have a photo album I'd have to get out. My grandmother have it to me for high school graduation. Lots of pictures of my parents I'd never seen. Pretty cool stuff.
