Just curious to get the general consensus. I think it was great compared to what the game had become. It is only a matter of time until this fades too, what iyo would make it better?

oh yeah. I loved that defense was actually played as well. The uniforms need some major work through. Oregon vs Oregon State shite

Compared to the last few years, it was great. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Rice vs Sanders thing. But I think it added a much needed element of competitiveness that has been missing for years. The extra motivation to win for their captain played a huge role in the improvement in the game this year.

Worse. The whole Rice, Sanders picking the teams things made it a joke.

I'm a fan of the idea to treat each quarter like halftime. 2 minutes warning at the end of the 1st and 3rd, just like the 2nd and 4th. Plus the change of possession after the quarter.

Allowing the defensive line to actually stunt and letting the corners play man helped it a lot as well. Keeping those guys active just improves the product so much more.

Question... Did the pro bowlers always not care or is this a recent development?

All I know is if you had told me 5 months ago that the highest QB rating in this year's pro bowl would belong to Nick Foles, I would have laughed my sack off.

No idea cause I didn't watch it, and where normally I'd look up the results to see which team won now I don't care cause it'd take to much work to find lineups.

Pointless game with a stupid gimmick. But then between Texas and the Texans I'm surprised I care about football at ALL right now.

I think the Pro Bowl may go away one day. Baseball pretty much invented the all star game in an effort to raise money for the sport during the Great Depression. As it stands, no league needs the money that bad. So the only real reason to have an all star game is because of how interesting it is. MLB, NBA, and NHL all star games are all more interesting than an average regular season game, so they won't go anywhere. The irony with the Pro Bowl is that it may not be as interesting as the average NFL regular season game. In that case, why even stage the game?

I hate the "Team ________" nomenclature.

I actually thought it was great this year. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I was just way more interested than I've ever been with the pro bowl. I usually just tune in to watch Drew or the other Saints guys play, and then turn off when they sub out. But I watched nearly the entire game. The defensive players were "sincere with their contact" to quote Les
