With so much crap out there today ie ride along, what are some favorites of yours you are surprised aren't on the big screen yet?

The Giver was my first choice but it is getting a movie soon.

So I guess Bleachers by Grisham would be the most obvious choice for me.

I agree in that I'm surprised it hasn't made it past the development stage yet, but I'm glad it hasn't.

Metal Gear Solid or Rainbow Six. I mean these games are tailor-made for a movie. Not sure why they can't get them off the ground.

I'd love to see a good Metal Gear Solid movie. Red Dead Redemption would make a great movie as well.

This and some of Clive Cussler's books. I know Sahara tanked but that because it was poorly cast and written. Some of his book would make great action movies.

Halo. It was the largest force in gaming from 2002-2010.

They had Peter Jackson signed on but they couldn't get the funding at the level they wanted. Rumor was they wanted a $300 million budget for Avatar level effects. Which is the only way it would work imo. I wanted to see this movie made so badly. Nylund would have delivered an awesome script too. His books are well done.

This. I have wanted a movie for this for nearly 15 years. I am wondering how they tell the story without giving things away too early.

I'm surprised God of War hasn't been destroyed by Hollywood yet.

GOW
Mass effect
Borderlands
Unchartered
Gears of War

I hope these games are NEVER made into movies. I would say Zelda but I think it would actually make a pretty good series.
