Know any poser, phony LSU "superfans"?

Pick my son up from friends house and chatted with the dad for a while. New house with badass man cave, LSU from top to bottom including p&g leather LSU custom recliners, LSU felt pool table etc. Started shooting the shite and he's never been to tiger stadium, didn't know who Cameron is, etc. very odd. (Wife is auburn)

Some of the best, most knowledgeable fans I know haven't attended a game in years .. There are season ticket holders that go to every game that don't know crap about the team ..

Agree...that is very odd...I understand everybody can't afford to get season tickets and go to every game, but it's not hard to find cheap tickets to one of the non conference games. Heck you can get them sometimes at a good price for the SEC games. Never understand somebody who is "big LSU" fan, but NEVER goes to any games.

I've had old co workers like that. Non LSU alum but they have LSU everything and always talk about the team but have no idea what they are talking about.

Hell I get a ticket GIVEN to me for at least one SEC game every year

During football season on here told that since chose not to go to LSU I can't be as big of fan because I don't have that connection. But having basketball season tickets for 7 years the same die hard bleed purple and gold don't dare think you are same level fan as them don't care at all about their basketball team. I guess you had to go to LSU and LSU have a winning team to have that connection

So what? Is there some rule that says you can't be a big time LSU fan or have a LSU man cave unless you have been to Tiger Stadium? Maybe he's a baseball guy. Maybe he doesn't enjoy crowds.
If you found it so odd, why didn't you ask the guy.
Anyone who goes to the expense a LSU man cave, is a big LSU fan whether he can pass your fan test or mine.

These kind of fans are easy to spot and absolutely useless to talk to. Got a couple of co-workers like this and I don't even bother to discuss lsu sports with them. One of them made a comment on Friday about how how strong we'd be this year with Hill and LF running the ball for us.......how do you even respond to this level if stupidity? I'm taking suggestions.
