Is anyone else annoyed that people call it this when the game is not in New York?

I could care less I just want it to snow like it did for the eagles vs lions regular season game they had earlier in the year so the NFL will know how dumb they were to put a Superbowl in a cold weathered city that has an outdoor stadium.

I don't get this

Isn't the Super Bowl supposed to be played in the elements because it's fricking football? Sick of the pussies complaining

Yes. As far as I know they re the only teams in US that don't play in the state that is in the name.

No. It's about as big of a technicality as you can get. Northern Jersey is the western NYC suburb. Connecticut is the northeastern suburb and Long Island is the southeastern suburb. It's all greater NYC.

Stop educating people, I like being one of the only people on earth that uses that phrase correctly. It's like a secret handshake.

Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, Detroit, and San Francisco are all cities that have had Super Bowls that weren't really in those cities. I'm sure you'll get over it. Excellent thread.

This Super Bowl is going to kick arse. Deal with it.

The Miami dolphins don't play in Miami and that stadium has had multiple SBs. Is that a problem?

On behalf of everybody in New jersey, the game is in New Jersey. But, most of the hoopla is in NY. I will say both teams staying in Jersey City near the PATH Newport station is excellent. The Super Bowl Blvd stuff is in the street by my office.

People here are excited. New Jersey really deep down knew NY would get the big shots
