I'm looking to buy a pair of headphones to use at work. I'll primarily be listening to ESPN radio, Pandora, and iHeartRadio.

With that being said, should I buy Bose or Beats? TIA.

If you are not a college kid or younger, buy Bose. Beats are overrated, frankly.

If you want quality sound, buy the Bose. If you want to make a fashion statement, buy the Beats.

There are so many better options than Beats.

paying more than 20 or 30 dollars for a pair of head phones is absurd.

I swear that these are what I wear. Nobody sees them at the house, and I'm a pretty confident guy anyway. I got them for free at a work party. Haters gonna hate.

LOL. Not at all. If you listen to high quality streams/tracks, especially if you use a DAC/Amp, there is a huge difference. Now once you make the jump from 20-30 dollar headphones to 150 dollar headphones, the difference between good 150 dollar headphones and 400 dollar ones is much smaller.

I'd look at AKGs, Audio Technicas, Sennheisers, some Klipsch/ Harmon Kardon/Creative/Sony before Beats or Bose. Bose are lightyears better than Beats, but neither are great.

There was a good thread on the Music Board about headphones but you may have to search for it

Edit: LINK this may help

This. People paying hundreds of dollars for headphones is entirely a waste of money.
