Me and some buddies going fishing. None of us have ever been there. Where should we eat and drink?

No where worth a crap to eat. Go to place to eat is Hurricane Hole. But are only open during the Spring and Summer. You are better off just cooking and hitting up Arties or Pirate Island Daiquiri. The owner is a trip.

This time of year there's not much going on down there. Only restaurant open is the Starfish and its meh. Sureway (grocery store) is open until 6:30 so you can grab some stuff to cook there. Artie's for drinkin and I believe they have food there. Make sure you head north to fish. Around the island will be slim pickins util spring time. They are killin the trout and reds around Leeville and Golden Meadow right now, so I would consider going there as opposed to fishing the island.

They are destroying the Red's by the third little bridge and a place the locals call "The Forbidden Hole". Also in the marshes between GI and Fourchon.

I'm assuming he means the bridge by the Elmer's isle entrance. When the reds are there it's game fricking on. If he comes back and says their biting I'm straight up leaving work right this minute.

I just really am looking for any excuse to leave work. A few weeks back trout were thick at telephone pole hole. Easily picked up 50. A quarter of them being keepers.
