The OB needs a little schoolin' by ConvertedTiger. I tried out the technique CT recommended for skinning a squirrel tail LINK.

Man, it worked like a charm...and I mean PERFECTLY!





He said it also works for deer tails and other game.

Props to ConvertedTiger.

Man, you sure made an 11 year old boy really happy he's getting that tail.

Cool trick!! I wonder if some catfish skinning pliers would work... I'm going limbrat hunting in 2 weeks, I'll find out....

Cool! I read his post but didn't really get the gist of what he was saying. These pics cleared it up.

I've tried that before. The tail will tear off about 2/3 of the way down nearly every time no matter how careful you are.
