This kid is going to mind-frick people when he steps on the field.

Nice chart.

Even though hes listed as a DE, Godchaux is going to be a DT. And he said at the Army All American game he said hes weighing around 290lbs.

Brumfield and Clapp need to put some weight on. 275lbs is Tulane o-line size. I'd also like to see us gain some size in the LB spots.... 200-230lbs as a linebacker will get you run over by sec running backs. Just my 2 cents.

They are high school seniors. They will put on plenty of weight in their first year.

They won't have to play their TF year

Bro these are high school seniors.... wait til they get in a professional weight training program.

Oh and we didnt have a LB over 230lbs this past year. And its pretty rare to find college LBs 240lbs too.

Is it wrong I assume he is a good enough athlete to lay out some people on kick offs

Crazy as it sounds, I think 300 is not what the avg NFL guard weighs. Those frickers are massive. I'll pull up a few nfl rosters & edit if I'm wrong, but I think it's more along the lines of 320ish.

Where did you get the NFL size chart from? Is that legit or just your estimation?

I ask because I really like the idea and want to borrow it for our board.

Brumfield is 6'4" 288 lbs at 17yrs old. The numbers used here are from 2012. FWIW, he will gain weight but not bad weight! No need to gain a big nasty flabby belly just to make the claim of being 300 lbs! The 10-20 pounds he will add will be done correctly!

You know how it works around here, people talk just to talk. No one cares what he weighs as long as he's pancaking fools like he has been.

I believe both are heavier than that, now - 285, 290ish - both will hold 300+ pounds.

Cut them some slack, they're just 18.

A. That's an awfully big range.

B. Lot's of college linebackers play in the 205 to 215 range

C. The typical, NFL 245 to 255 pound linebacker is also about 26, not 18. Most (not all) of those guys were 215 to 225 pounds in college.
