Doucet was filling in for Moscona and Faulk told him about the letter he got from Peyton Manning when he retired from the Patriots. Peyton congratulated him and let him know how he followed his career in LA through high school and LSU and then with the Patriots.

Pretty classy of him to do that

It was a very good interview. Faulk was very respectful, saying yes sir when answering Doucet.

Kevin Faulk may be the most important Tiger football player in my opinion considering the program at the time and the future he sparked.

Love that guy!

Doucet should have been the one saying Yes Sir!

Yea I know everyone is harsh on Doucet, but he had some very good interviews yesterday, with faulks interview being at the top. He was all over with his questions but they were questions that you would want to hear a LSU/NFL great answer.

Kevin Faulk is to LSU what Emmitt Smith is to Florida. Faulk came in just before Saban took LSU back to national prominence, while Emmitt was at UF just before Spurrier got there. As a matter of fact Emmitt left UF his junior year for fear of being left out of the passing attack Spurrier was developing.

well yea Faulk was like "when Pete was my coach, he allowed shite talking as long as you produced." Doucet said "Wait when was Pete Carroll your coach?" Faulk replied, "My first year! With the Pats"

His number should be hanging in the East Upper in Tiger Stadium.

espn did a feature a couple years back featuring curtis martin and troy vincent and a couple other former players talking about how peyton wrote them similar letters after their retirement thanking them for playing the game the right way, being model professionals and such. classy stuff.
