everyday

Sure they have some other great albums but this one is the high point of the arc in their discography catalog. Great way to start off the morning.

I completely agree, Cdawg. You can even narrow the "pinnacle" specifically down to Pilgrims IMHO

Pilgrims huh? I may have to move it back one more with Postcards.

The memories this album brings back.

I never really gave their studio stuff a listen other than when I started with Space Wrangler and Till the Medicine Takes. I just jumped straight from those two to live shows and never looked back.

It's when jojo joined the band and it's the definitive WSP album IMO.

So, I gave that song Pilgrims a listen and its not bad at all... that dudes voice is not very easy on the ear though... especially when he starts "singing"

With that said, my official position is WSP > Phish

I actually like studio WSP better than their live output. I think Space Wrangler is the best thing they ever did.

I guess their live shows can be fun and energetic at points when they bust out a cool cover and/or some rarity. As far as jamming goes, however, they are downright awful and boring as hell.

Well to be honest, it's more nostalgic for me now than something I'd probably be in to now. Similar to Drivin-n-Cryin. It was a fun, mostly regional, college band at the time.

Why do you think "Everday" is the bands Pinnacle? I think "Til The Medicine Takes" is the better album

Now there's a band I can be nostalgic for.. I always like them and Kinney's song writing... I didnt really care for Smoke or anything after that, but those first 4 records are fun...

I saw Kevn Kinney and Peter Buck play The MacDougal Blues album at Murphy's back in the day...

At the time, there were really gaining some steam with popularity and excitement with that release. Jojo has his influence on it and it's a personal favorite. I can't sit here and argue about Medicine. I prefer that one over Ain't Life Grand and Bombs but in a string of releases, I'd put Everyday at the top. I pretty much became disinterested by Don't Tell the Band though.
