It's not horrible. I think it is necessary for the higher traffic subreddits. But I agree that TD is the bomb.

it's not just TD...i guess what i use forums for is not what reddit is used for, and reddit is catered to simplicity and not paying attention

There are multiple way to sort by. You don't have to have the "hottest" at top.
I like it, but it does make it more difficult to discern an intelligent discussion out of it.
The NFL game threads are all fricked up in that format. Idk how people deal with that.
