MLB ?@MLB 10m
All 30 @MLB clubs have unanimously approved expansion of instant replay, which will be in effect for the 2014 season and 2014 #postseason.

quote:

MLB ?@MLB 7m
As a part of expanded instant replay, clubs now allowed to show all replays on the ballpark scoreboard, regardless if play was reviewed.

MLB ?@MLB 3m
Managers will have at least one instant replay challenge to use during a game (1/3).

quote:

MLB ?@MLB 2m
If any portion of challenged play is overturned, manager who challenged the play will retain ability to challenge 1 more play in game (2/3).

quote:

MLB ?@MLB 3m
No manager may challenge more than two plays in a game (3/3).

MLB ?@MLB 1m
After the beginning of the seventh inning, the umpire crew chief may choose to invoke instant replay on any reviewable call.

30 extra minutes (max) will be well worth it IMO

Are managers still allowed to go argue and not use a challenge?

Arguing calls is one of my favorite parts of the game and I hope they can go give the ump their .02 without risking losing their only challenge.

That's still painful to see. And I'm not even a Detroit fan. You could tell Joyce felt like shite.

There no reason to support a league that does not do everything it can to insure the integrity of the game.

Call me a fake fan or whatever, the fact remains that I used to watch enough MLB to classify as a casual fan and now I watch none.

of the big 3 sports the only one that even gives a shite about PED's is baseball. If anything they do way more than the other sports to insure the "integrity" of the game.

I'm sorry, a league that is too god damn hardheaded to have something as simple as video review AVAILABLE to use on close calls isn't worth watching. The fact that their hardheadedness cost a pitcher a perfect game just makes it even worse.

The NFL's system may not be perfect, but at least they have made an effort for a while now. As for MLB, their announcement is too little too late, IMO.

Guess I'm just a douche.
