Miles has to win the recruiting battle with young, Dupre and Adoree. if he gets those 3.. losing hootie, brown and willis wont leave a blimish this year - imo

respectfully disagree, to an extent.

Losing Hootie, Brown, and Willis hurts us for a star recruiting title.

But...
Hootie: we have a full blooded hard hitting swivel hip safety in Adams (and looks like Mills has found a spot). And then there's Paris & Battle.

Brown: he would be great, but because of the other commits 2013, 2014, and Tolliver++ in 2015 the position isn't one of "decline" need.

Willis: yah, we needed him. I think if Neal turns out as good as I think he will it won't look so bad in the future... but that's in the future.

ETA: safety spot- can't forget about Voorhies. Possible contributor there too. If he ends up on D, he'll be our "holy shite he's everywhere making plays" guy.

And thanks for the info on Miles... I'm interested in two more 10-20's specifically:
- Where's Chavis? S FL maybe?
- who is visiting OL? and where.

Losing Willis was the only one that really hurt IMO, but even that can be mitigated if we land Valentine.

We replaced Hootie with JA(it was either Hootie or JA, we weren't getting both) and we have Toliver waiting in the wings while our top two corner positions are locked up. TB would have been a luxury.

Tony Brown's shoulder is a real problem, it regularly pops out (6times this past season) and at the UA game they couldn't get it back in, so he's got a big challenge ahead of him to be physical enough to play corner in the SEC.

I think so, but after what we've seen this cycle, I wouldn't put money on it.

losing those 3 has more to do with embarrassment of losing 5 star players from in-state and one whose sister is already enrolled at LSU and LSU was thought to be a lock for him considering that he wants to run track and play football something LSU would let him do, than how badly we need all three of them. Willis is a position of need but LSU will be fine and rebound well without him.

As far as I feel though it is real simple - FTG's

If you notice, the two "Insiders" that get closest to the recruits, Clean and Jimmy, don't do the Crystal Ball thing, even though they've been offered many times.

wow, 6 times. yep, an issue.

His options may be to see if it can be tightened up with surgery, or move his skill set over to offense to avoid having to plant shoulders into people on a regular basis.

Depends on the nature of the shoulder socket thing he has, too. Some people with that issue pop it out every time they reach up high suddenly. So, wouldn't help to be a WR.

Did Bama mention anything about his shoulder?

yes.. i noticed that.. Jimmy has been money.. despite the critism he has gotten. That's why i look for Gage to be in this class. Jimmy has not waivered on that AT ALL

I didn't know it was a recurring injury. I would assume Alabama will be getting him in for surgery. That could put an end to it, but you never want to count on something like that.

surgery would make him miss the track season. he will not like that.
