Got a call yesterday inviting me and a coworker on a free duck and goose hunt down near Winnie. Left the house at 2:45 this morning for the 140 mile drive. The 5 of us killed 2 ducks and 8 geese

At least it wasn't work

Ducks must be gone

My brother just called and they got 1 this morning in Wheatley, AR.

He went with my uncle to the river bottoms on the White/Cache to scout from 11-3 and saw ONE.

He is out at our farm now for an evening redemption that probably wont result in much.

Couldn't climb up til 5pm this eve. Had a small rack buck get up that was bedded down about 75 yards away at 520p. Damn thing came out of a spot I didn't expect, went the wrong way, and then disappeared. Had eyes on him for about 6-7 seconds

I need some venison. My dehydrator is lonely.

Odd as crap. When I made the drive from Little Rock to Memphis Saturday afternoon the sky was black from all the birds around Brinkley. A ton of geese, but quite a few ducks as well. Most I have seen in that area all year.
