Interest or possibility of flipping any Virginia Tech recruits?

Anyone looked at Grimes targets/commits at Va Tech?
Not one of them is from Virginia.
Colt Pettit
Brady Taylor
Billy Ray Mitchell
Eric Gallo
Tyrell Smith
Wouldn't be the first time a player followed a coach.

The only one that I would want is Tyrell Smith and only if we have a spot come NSD. Seems like Grimes likes those smaller athletic guys to put some weight on them and get them ready.
He's going to love Kelly Jr.

After seeing all those player profiles, I see why Grimes is coming haha The talent pool he can pull from here is a whole lot better. I can't wait to see what he will do once he gets in place and has a year to coach and recruit.

VT has never recruited top talent ranked by the services. All of the classes are between 25-35.

Not a terrible approach. Lose fewer underclassman that way

one VT board someone linked to in another thread had a comment about the "fab 5" OL that they have committed this year. They are all 3-stars. Probably some good talent in there.

Much rather what we have now. Studs that play early vs. Projects that stay longer. Give me the impact guys any day and reload when you need to

I'm starting to think in the new reality of LSU football you need both types. A good blend of program players and immediate impact guys.

one of the reasons LSU parted ways with an excellent DB coach was the lack of effort on the recruiting trail.
