Seeing how the one currently in theaters is trash, can the Rock's version coming this summer be a hit.

Could this one be enough to scare people away? Typically when you have movies with the same or similar subject the one that goes to the theater first usually does better.

Does the Rock have enough star power to pull people in and make them ignore this version?

I think he is actually becoming a somewhat decent actor. It could be cool

He's the only wrestler-turned-actor that I can take serious.

I think he is a pretty good actor too. I think they were talks of making it a series if the first one did good.

I think it could be pretty good. The Rock has so many projects being thrown his way I doubt he would pick something that would bomb. Plus, I've you've seen the set pics he looks pretty badass.

I don't know if that works when the first film comes out in January.

The Rock's version has a much bigger budget and more star power. Plus the behind scenes pics he's been tweeting look cool. It is directed by Brett Ratner so that's a big negative though.

They rushed the other one to beat out the Rock's version. I'm glad it bombed as I've been pumped about this one for some time now. If it is rated R, it's going to be really good IMO. Lots of talk of bloody battles and unforgiving ruthlesness so there is hope.
