I liked him too, but once Grimes' name surfaced, he became my #1 choice based purely on recruiting and him having more experience at the college level in general.

That said, I wouldn't have been upset with either.

They gave up 33 sacks last year and only rushed for 120 yards per game.
and, it looks like the previous year 2012 (prior to Grimes), VTech rushed for 146 yards/game and gave up 25 sacks.

Hmmmm.

I'll wait for an official announcement. I am tired of thinking I have it all figured out only to find out I'm wrong.

Grimes plays his favorites regardless if actual playing ability.

That whole discussion about inheirting seniors and talent is just dumb. I don't know shite about this guys, but to say he sucked after a bunch of Seniors graduated is dumb. The players sucked, lineman more than any position need time to mature.

Let's see what happens in Detroit first before we rule Washington out.

Let's just wait for the official announcement period. I don't think anyone has the inside track on this one.

Anyone just looking at sack numbers and rushing yards to determine the worth of an OL coach is an idiot.

College Football is almost all about recruiting.

at most position coaching spots, for sure... at OL and DL, I'd rather have a good coach than recruiter... recruiting abilities would just be an added bonus.

not that grimes won't do a good job at LSU... he's an average to above average OL coach imo.

I wouldn't want anyone off of Chizik's staff. But that's just me.

All I know is he was y'alls 2010 OL coach and LSU has never had an OL close to that caliber under Stud.

Good point, but he got out. The things our players have said about the previous staff is alarming. Really, non of them knew a damn thing about football.

I guess we should consider ourselves warned. Heard similar things about Crowton from fans of his previous stop to LSU. Turned out to be true. Maybe fans know more than given credit for...

uh oh, look err'body. Internet Tough Guy in the house!

One could also observe, that Anyone ... calling someone an idiot for implying that someone looking at sack and rush numbers are *just* looking at those to determine the worth of an OL coach ... has the social skills a 12-yr-old.

Grow up.
