This makes me so sad at what all-time greatness that team was so close to.

Get that objectivity out of here, and fire Les. Les is a bad coach because he claps/talks funny. Any success that he has is due to Saban.

Don't be sad ladies and gentlemen. The best season ever! We had no shot to beat bama a second time. Let the mulligans have their little moment in the sun. WE won the SEC! Just proves that it's harder to win the SEC than the national championship.

I really thought LSU ha one of the better college football seasons I had ever seen. No one is going to convince me something didn't go down before the NCG, because that was a totally different LSU team.

It should be posted more often. The 2011 Tigers were akin to the 18-0 Patriots but even better. Due to a freak of scheduling they played the eventual winners of the four major bowls. And completely crushed every one of them.

LSU had the best year of football I can remember in 2011. Started by destroying A&M in the Cotton, ended with SEC championship.

LSU will always be one missed Oklahoma State field goal away from the greatest season in NCAA football history.

Something should be done to recognize that feat in CF history. I mean Nationally, not just a website.

What the 2011 team accomplished will never be matched. The 2011 LSU Tigers were the greatest team in college football history and it is very difficult to debate other wise.

What did LSU do:

Beat the BCS National Champion on the road
Beat the BCS Rose Bowl Champion at a neutral site
Beat the BCS Orange Bowl Champion on the road
Beat the Cotton Bowl Champion at home
Won the SEC Title
Won 13 games

This resume will never again be matched.

Man some of you guys are irritating as hell!!! He did miss on many of our top recruits this year! And LSU IS diff than bama, FS, TX, and many more. If we miss on MD, LSU would have missed on the #1 Ath, #1 WR, and #1 Tackle...... All from La. With zero in state competition! It really is unacceptable if this happens. Not saying it's Les fault or fire Les or that he sucks as a coach, he's a great coach but if this continues would you still want him??? LSU is very unique and loaded with talent...... We have a huge advantage and I want a coach that can take us to the top every year! With the talent La, Tx, Ms, then the rest of the nation we recruit, LSU should really should be top 3 year in and out with the right coach. Sometimes schools just need change. That's all
