and why would it be such a big recruiting boost?
Anyone they hire would have a great track record and sustained success.
These kinds of titillating twits are bs

Big recruiting boost = Jeff Grimes imo

And when will it be dropped?

I don't know much about Grimes, how good is he at recruiting?

Jeff Grimes - OL coach/recruiting coordinator at VA tech

yah, my first thing is define "pending". Next hour? Early enough for workouts in Feb? when.
And may be "evaluated" to help with recruiting... but probably not in 2014 cycle.
[bitching about tweets, not the hire btw]
ETA: if it is Grimes, that is indeed a homerun hire.

He recruited and coached (for couple years) the entire starting line-up at Auburn. Has recruited lights out everywhere he has been.

It must be going down soon. Why release the info if it's a whole away. Plus I'm sure the staff wants it's full arsenal to close the recruiting class strong.

"On January 18, 2009, Grimes was hired by new head coach Gene Chizik to fill the vacant position coaching the offensive line at Auburn University.[1]
After the 2010 season, Grimes was interviewed by Mack Brown to become the new OL coach at the University of Texas where it was reported he would become the highest paid coach at his position in the country.[2] Ultimately, Grimes decided to stay at Auburn.[3]"
Per Wikipedia. Seems to be a pretty sought after OL coach. Except by Malzahn. He fired all chiziks assistants.

I just hope he will hang around for at least 3 seasons. We need some stability there.

Was at Auburn from '09-'12. Took Greg Robinson from us.

you're thinking Patrick Miller
Posted on 1/13/14 at 9:15 pm to clamdip
nevermind, Gunner Kiel cost us Patrick Miller, I believe.
Posted on 1/13/14 at 9:16 pm to clamdip
Kiel took Miller away from us.... Miller wanted to be an EE, but Kiel took his spot as the EE so Miller went to Auburn and Kiel never showed up.

I think they are referencing Grimes.
