Had the fried chicken for the first time Saturday. I'd have to say it certainly lives up to its reputation. It's the absolute best I've had i would say since my mother quit cooking it years ago.

Too much vinegar in the greens and potato salad too sweet for me but man that chicken. Washed down with a big sweet tea and it was nap time on the farm porch. I will be back in the area and will get another round soon.

It's about 15 minutes from my camp and I've had it many times. Probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. Sides aren't all that though. Did old dude sing for you?

He was singing about the chicken. Had his Piggly Wiggly apron on. I'm looking at a chunk of property about a mile south of it on 61.

Mr. D is pretty cool. If you get it hot, right out of the fryer, I can't imagine that chicken can get any better than that. The cobbler is pretty good, too.

It was hot. A group in front of me cleaned it out and we waited about ten minutes. Worth every minute wait. Ate a salad and by then it was ready. Alton Brown had it right. Dude can fry some chicken.
