If its its sighted in as on at 100 yards and I shoot at a bobcat at 70 yards, should I am a little high or low.

I missed with 3 shots tonight. Going to the range tomorrow to check it out.

probably shouldn't make a difference but to be more precise on my reply, what caliber and bullet weight are you shooting ?

I'm definitely not a ballistics expert. But I would think the difference between 70 and 100 would be less than 1/2 inch at most.

Remington 30-6 180gr.

Thats never happened before. My scope is on raised mounts so I'm hoping it just got bumped. I'll be taking it off those mounts.

You're sighted dead on at 100 yards, correct?

If a bobcat stared at you standing still for three shots, you need to be drug tested before reporting to work tomorrow.

Put the crosshairs where you want the bullet to go. Sounds like you suck at shooting.

I've had wingmen end up in the same shape as me before.

based on the ballistics calculator, with a 100 yd zero, 180 gr bullet should be around .1" high at 75 yds.

you should probably go to the range and re-sight in to regain confidence as the scope may have been bumped

I don't know how they even still sell them. I guess the same people use Quaker State motor oil.

Deer....I usually use 150gr but I was out of it and didnt have time to go to store so I used what I had. Thet may have affected it too.

Answer is like a 1/3 inch lower but shouldn't hardly matter.

Yeah I didn't think this was a trajectory issue.

And I resemble the 742 comment lol.

So, is the gun sighted dead on at 100 yards w/ 150 grain bullets OR 180 grain bullets?

Were you shooting the SAME load today (not just the same bullet weight) that the gun is sighted in for?
