Anyone ever have a lingering pinched nerve in the neck?

I have a pinched nerve in my upper back/lower neck and it's been bothering me for over a month now. Anyone know a good way to get rid of it, while not having to go to the doctor.

The 2 people I know who had similar issues both needed surgery...good luck

Yes. Quite a few years ago, but it went away within a week.
I've had a crick in my neck 24/7 for the last month and it's starting to drive me insane.

A hot stone massage will fix you right up.

Had one for 17 years now. You get used to it after 10 years or so.

both of them still complain that they haven't fully healed. One had surgery 2 years ago the other last summer. they turned out to have disc problems. One told me the test done was the worst part. Something to do with sending electric pulses to the nerves.

What are your symptoms?
I have facet arthropathy in my neck & I always have muscular pain. But sometimes it flares up & I get spasms, radicular pain, numbness, tingling
When that happens I'll take 800 mgs Advil three times per day & put ice on it. If it gets unbearable I'll go to the doctor for pain pills & muscle relaxers
I've done pt, which helped but nothing cures it

you can also get a muscle relaxer prescription.

I've had a problem with a joint in my neck for a few months. It got so bad I couldn't turn my neck to one side at all. Zero range of motion. It never went away and only started getting better with physical therapy. Still doing PT now. Hopefull I'll be done in a few more sessions. Go to a doctor.

Emg. I've heard that's awful
If you just have neck pain then surgery probably isn't indicated. Heat may help loosen it up. Ice helps reduce inflammation if it's irritated
Pt helps strengthen the neck muscles. You could probably google some to avoid going to the dr

That is it. When my friend asked the nurse how bad it was she said "D-1 football players have cried from this test"

No. A physical therapist
The neurosurgeon I used to work for never recommended chiropractors. He said they could cause more damage

Just pain in my upper back/lower neck. Literally feels like I have a crick in my neck at all times. No pain radiating anywhere else.
