Anyone have any luck in this area recently? If so which end of the lake or which canal? TIA

My friend went yesterday.

Said 3 fish in the boat at noon, then limited out by 3:00.

Didn't say where he caught them.

ETA: I went Friday and didn't get a bite.

We had 50 specks a few weeks back. Hopefully this cold weather helps tomorrow

Not a very timely post, but we went over Thanksgiving break and left with 8 keepers, probably caught 20-30 total. Just started on the northeast end of the lake, coming from Falgout Canal Marina, and drifted southwest as the wind carried us. My first ever trip fishing there so I wasn't too discouraged. It was cold as hell that morning(Black Friday), water temps 50-53, very good water clarity though. Caught everything on chartreuse MoJo shrimp and double rigged silver/chartreuse shad under popping corks.

Any better luck later in the week? I am heading home this weekend and am planning to go out Saturday morning.

yep...I went about two weeks ago...my dad and I were out there around 8:00 and we were back home by 11:00...not a single bite. Water was as clear as I've ever seen it, but it was too early and too cold. From what I gather, it's been a late bite.

That being said, my uncle has been killing them out there.

Thanks for the info. Maybe we will try to find a deep hole in the morning and head out to De Cade when it starts to warm up.

Does "out there" = Lake De Cade or does "out there" = some random-arse fishing hole where your uncle limits out the same day everyone else gets skunked?
