This is a very young team, too. If Breaux doesn't bring home a Natty either this season or next, she never will.

Our women's track program has won 26 national titles (well 25, latest got revoked). It would be nice to see another women's team bring home a national title.

And for those who don't care...

Well assuming she doesn't win a natty this year or next, her career will be considered somewhat underwhelming. This is probably without a doubt her most talented team, and they're all coming back next season

agreed very talented team, how about this, I will never post neg about DD if we just win the SEC this year (not since 1981), dont even need a NC. Now will ANY of you agree she is medicore at best if we finish 3rd or worse in SEC this year?

As for team, they do appear very good and like last year very balanced. Give credit to her and staff for getting them here as well..now let's see how they do,as awlays I will be rooting for them (just as I cheered for the banner Friday) Time will tell.

Our coach of 36 years has...been in Bottom half of SEC finish 11 of last 14 years, no SEC title in 32 years, lost 80%+ of time head to head vs Bama, UGA and UF....

I repeat, again, because you ignored it the last time a thread was made about this:

If we fire DD, who do you get to replace her? You can't simply fire someone without having a replacement to improve the program. And it's awfully hard to improve upon a top 5 program when the only coaches with better records than her are not leaving.

I will agree to say she is mediocre if we finish 3rd this year. I enjoyed the meet the other night as well. But unfortunately Alabama is still in our league and 1 meet don't make a season. Personally I like DD(known her since 84). I think her new found success has a lot to do with her hiring her assistant coach from Georgia. I believe he use to be the head coach there. He is a great recruiter. Nice Freshman class, Gnat on beam deserved better than a 9.85. Can you hold off on the fire DD til the end of this season.

We could very well lose to Georgia. Gymnastics is just like other sports, hard to win on the road. With that said I think we will win there Friday.

The gymnastics builds the big legs. Once they quit performing, they lose that "thickness" in the legs.

As far as ranking go it doesn't really matter all that much if you win or lose as long as you score well. Its better to lose with 197 points than win with 194. At least that's the way it seems with my very limited understanding of the sport. Last year I recall teams with mediocre win/loss records raked higher because their average scores were higher than teams with better records.

After 36 years with a single sec title and bottom half most of last decade plus (if true), I think we know she is very mediocre already....you can only claim excuses about other programs in sec being better for so long...also as has been said before, she is not going to win any pop contests among her co-workers...still I agree if she wins SEC this year the program is set up well for future as new facilities and UGA asst coach here now bode well.
As for scoring, I agree and the 197+ is awesome, but at end of the day you have to score higher head to head in SEC trny and or regionals etc.
