??Seven Lakes High School Evacuation?

Approximately 11:00 a.m. - We have now learned from authorities that a potential explosive device has been identified in the building. Local authorities are investigating and the Houston bomb squad is in route.

Students have been evacuated to an enclosed area on the baseball and football fields. Water is being provided to students and staff as needed.

Hope this turns out to be a precaution.

When I was a senior in HS, I graduated in 96, some dumbass kid made fake bombs and called in a bomb threat every day for TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT!!!! They finally caught him and he was the only black male in our school of 1600 students and some other stupid stoner kid!

that school has had issues ever since it opened.

A kid shot himself on campus ... a man shot his ex wife in the parking lot before school started one morning and now this.

i bet over 75% of the kids at that school (that dont drive to school) live within easy walking distance from home. Not allowing the parents to go there and pick up their kids is really understandable. If I was a student there I would just walk home and watch it on TV.

I installed a $10k internet filter at Seven Lakes HS last fall.

Nice school. Hope it doesn't get blowed up.

I drove from their Admin building to SLHS and it is literally 20 miles away with nothing but housing developments non-stop the whole way. They could walk home.

Be careful driving that car of yours around Old Katy...those cops around there may not appreciate all the hard work you have put into it.

You went the wrong way. It is probably less than 10 miles.

I do agree with Supa. They could walk home.

i'm probably exaggerating the distance, but not the time. it took well over 20 minutes to get there. I think i took the Gaston Rd way maybe.

Thanks for the info. I live in this area. Had no idea. Hope it's just precautionary. I at least know to stay away from that area now.
