the ones we must resign:

cheap signings- Coleman, Haralson, Humber, Pugh

The following will command a higher price tag- Jimmay, Jenkins, Strief

The rest can walk. I am not a huge Strief fan, but he's reliable. We need to bring in another RT to push him and take that job. Jenkins knows the system, plays well in it when not trying to compensate for the holes due to injuries and is a team captain. Jimmay... nothing needs to be said.

RFA: Tender them all. Bush has been a stellar reserve, Collins is stud, Morgan is potential that has yet to be tapped and Johnson is needed depth

you and I see the Strief-DLP value inversely. I say "meh" to DLP and think Strief needs the moderate deal. He has performed well for the most part. We definitely need an upgrade, but that may not be easy to do. Center is always easier to find, and DLP has been a hinderance.

Jed Collins and Jenkins will not walk.
Strief will be re-signed and Jimmy won't be traded, are you crazy? He's the only thing we have on offense atm.

DLP is ranked fairly high on center fa lists, that's what makes me confused. He's good enough to keep and maybe just maybe cheap enough.

Jenkins is terrible, we need to get him out of here one way or another.

Wait, what? The only time he played well was when he was up near the line blitzing. He can't tackle in the open field, and can't cover. What good is he as a Safety if he can't do either?

I'm really tired of this attitude. You are wrong.

Drew Brees created Jimmy. Any big target who is moderately fast would do well in this offense. I like JG, but it is obvious to me that he is not as good as the money he is going to command. We CAN NOT afford to pay Drew what he is currently making AND add 10 mil a year for Jimmy. Just not gonna happen. We will be a bottom dweller in 3 seasons if we do that.

We have to be realistic. I like our chances without Jimmy with a bunch of picks we got for him in a trade and a bunch of youth at WR with a few vets more than I like our chances with Jimmy and a bunch of old guys.

Not true. He was getting praise earlier in the season for his play. Later in the season is when we saw him out of position a few times. Still overall his play was decent. I am not saying he is an all-world Safety, but he is better than many give him credit for. It's easy to sit here and say "jenkin sucks," but the truth is that he was an important piece to this defense. He's not the playmaker he should be based on his draft status, but he is worth resigning if he takes a reasonable contract.

I agree with C505B in that we let the market play out and see if he agrees to a below market value. If he wants top 15 safety money, then he needs to walk.

He's just not good, just look at his tackling attempts. That has nothing to do with who is playing back in the secondary with him. Also, how many games was the entire starting secondary together? Jenkins, Harper, KennyV, Greer, Lewis?

At times he got beat over the top, not as much as past seasons, but the more often offense was him allowing someone in front of him to get past him and turn a small gain into a huge play with run after the catch. It's amazing how he's incapable of covering literally anyone, doesn't matter their size or speed.

Tom Johnson really didn't do anything in Ryan's system this year.

no, but seriously:

Keep Jimmy, Coleman, Haralson, Morgan, Collins.
Keep Strief(for backup money), Bush, Dawson, Humber if they want to stay on for cheap.

The rest...well, bye

Jimmy is a freak athlete. However, he has had some big drops this year. He will get tagged this year, but if nothing is worked out over the next season, he goes, and we draft another big body.

however, very little of this matters unless Brees restructures this off season. IF he is team player, then he will. This will tell me a lot about Brees.

Wait and see.
