USC at LSU (1979) was by far the no. 1 in this category...LSU at Notre Dame (1970) is probably the closest no. 2...after that, everything else on your list although these two were up in a class by themselves.

They both still evoke emotions and feelings in this old soul.

10. LSU at Georgia (1999). Josh Booty and 3-9 LSU score a miracle late TD and instead of sending to OT they miss the 2 point conversion for the win.

I never understood Dinardo's rationale on that one and was always a bit surprised he didn't catch more heat for this decision.

I think by that point, the fanbase was so pissed at him for being stubborn about his boy on defense that the fanbase just wanted Dinardo out.

Exactly. His last season, people were hoping for losses so we could lose him and Tepper.

Solid list

I still shake my head about this one.

AU at LSU (1997). If only we had handed the ball off to Cecil Collins on 3rd and 2.

I agree, and yet Rantards constantly point to that game as a big Les screwup

Because they were not in the stadium

It was the 1983 Orange Bowl actually, and should be worthy of consideration.

I was at that game and either attended or saw all the rest on the OP list.

This is the answer. End of story!!!

UT in 1989. A 1-5 LSU team jumped out to a 14-0 lead but lost 45-39 to a UT team that finished the season 11-1 and ranked #5.

AtM in 1992. Robert Davis and the Tigers gave the Aggies all the could handle on opening day. They lost 31-22 in a game that they could have won if not for some very costly TO's. LSU had their lowest season of the Dark Ages at 2-9. The Aggies finished The regular season undefeated and finished #7 after losing to Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl.

LSU vs. Florida State in 1991 was a great game for 3 quarters in a monsoon. Then FSU woke up and stormed back in the 4th.

I liked it. UGA had outplayed us and we needed a miracle TD to even be in position to steal a win. Little chance of us winning in OT.
